Claire Schuurmans

Claire Schuurmans (2004) was born in Delft and started playing harp at the age of five.
She followed private lessons with Jaike Bakker and has been studying at the School for Young Talent in The Hague at Ernestine Stoop since August 2017.
Since 2012 she plays in the Hofstads Youth Orchestra. With this orchestra she was allowed to play solo in 2016 at the Noordeinde Nocturne, the Festival Classique and during a tour in Germany.
Claire has participated in several competitions.
In February 2017 she received a first prize and public award in the final of the Princess Christina Competition in Rotterdam. During the national semi-finals in The Hague she received an Honorable Mention.
At the Rosa Spier Harp competition in January 2018 she won a first prize in the category pedal harp up to 14 years.
