The IHFM is held in two locations in Leerdam, the Netherlands. Concerts and sessions take place at Partycentrum Het Dak.

Workshops are held at both the workshop space above de Zingende Snaar as Partycentrum Het Dak (you can find where your workshop is held in the final program).

You will need to take your own harp for anything that is held at partycentrum het Dak. Your harp can safely stay there during the meeting.

For workshops at de Zingende Snaar you will be able to use a harp provided by the store, so no need to keep dragging your harp around during the meeting.

You can find the program here.

If you want to see what took place in earlier editions then have a look on this page.

Leerdam has many places to stay, like hotels, B&B’s and campsites (you can leave your harp at Stadspodium GO) Here are a few places that we have found:

Bedandbreakfast

Kampeerbosje Leerdam

De Grienduil

Bed & Breakfast Groene Meent Leerdam

De Schild Kamp

Booking.com

Gasterij Het Oude Posthuys

The location of the workshops is dependent on the amount of participants and the available room. We will publish the final space-division on our news page two weeks in advance of the meeting. If you are registered for one or more workshops you will receive and email with your personal schedule (including workshop location and whether you need to take a harp) and directions to the locations at the latest a week in advance of the meeting. Once you are at the meeting you will receive a folder with all the information and any tickets for concerts/food and drink that you ordered.
If you have any reservations about traveling with your harp, please contact us and we will see what we can do to help.

You can register up to two weeks in advance of the IHFM by filling out the form which you can find on this page program and form.

After receiving your form we will send you a bill of any concerts/workshops that you are registered for. Registration is final once we have received payment.

At the latest a week before the meeting you will receive a personal schedule of the IHFM.

No, you can always take part in the session, even if you don’t play the harp (in fact we encourage you to); a little variety of instruments is always nice). Everyone is welcome. Concerts are also open to anyone.

We are trying to keep a diverse offering on workshops, some of the workshops will be open to other instrumentalists, vocalists or dancers. Please take a look at our program to see which workshops might be of interest to you.

Yes, as said before: everyone is welcome. We would ask you to please be considerate of other people and let everyone join in their own way. If you are unsure of what to play during a session you can find our tune suggestions here.

Salvi and Lyon&Healy harps will be at the meeting with a big exhibition of their harps. You can try them out and purchase them if you wish to do so.
Davide Rosso, Salvi’s harp maintenance expert will be at the meeting. He can do revisions of both Salvi and Lyon & Healy harps, any model.

Sometimes there is a little bit of time for private lessons during the meeting. (If you’re interested in taking a private lesson with one of the teachers, please contact us directly here).

During the year we will organise a Harp Friends Sessions on occasion, we’ll announce them at this website and on Facebook.

The website www.zingendesnaar.nl offers an overview of harp teachers in the Netherlands.
